EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

ROBIN HARKEY

No stranger to education, Robin holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Horticulture from Texas State University and Texas A&M, respectively, and a Master of Education in Organizational Leadership from the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV).

Since June 2019, Robin has raised more than $1.5 million for the VISD Education Foundation and VISD. Immediately prior, she served as the Grant Development Coordinator for the University of Houston- Victoria, where she secured over $1.2 million from the Texas Education Agency, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Defense, to name a few. Robin has experience as a former Executive Director of the Kleberg County Pregnancy Resource Center, a science teacher, and over ten years in agronomic research and development.

Robin is the proud wife of Dr. Justin Harkey, a veterinarian in Port Lavaca. Together they share two children, Morgan and Levi, and two French bulldogs. Robin loves to make gourmet cakes in her spare time, read and try her hand (or green thumb, rather) in her garden.
